Yes To Review

Happy Friday, the weekend is here and I'm finally blogging after a short while - double yay!

Apart from the bottles being incredibly photogenic the products have been a wonder to use.

I'll start with the Yes to Grapefruit Scrub which you may be wondering if it holds any similarities with the award winning St Ives scrub, so here's me saying - yes and no. It works just as well however it is much more gentle on the skin and no way does this affect the outcome it has. My skin felt clean and refreshed after the first use which did result in my skin overall appearing more brighter (although I had to use it often and consistently)

Like most scrubs it helps to clear away dead skin cells that can make your skin appear dull but with the help of natural ingredients. It contains lemon balm to help repair your skin and the grapefruit to help clean and nourish it.

My skin has recently become very sensitive and using scrubs have been playing havoc with my face, leaving it really dry. Thankfully I have been able to rely on the Yes to scrub to care for my skin - it's nice to find something to trust! The smell is gorgeous too - that zesty scent that reminds me of a good old holiday!

Next...

Ok so as crazy as this sounds I love tomatoes so anything with tomatoes in are already a seller to me!
The Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask is a favourite. For me its an award winning combination because of the fabulous range of ingredients. It's charcoal and salicylic acid along with watermelon and pumpkin feel so lush on the skin (yes I said lush)

Myself and my fiancĂ© (wink face) both have enjoyed using it. I just love the feeling of my skin after washing it away - it feels so smooth. It also leaves my skin very matte (I have quite oily skin) so that alone is a plus. Although I still get spots whist using the mask (its inevitable) my spots don't appear as red after using it - it's doing something right.

For me the mask feels expensive and feels like a high end product but you can pick it up at boots for £6.99 - I have spent a lot more on something that doesn't even match what this mask does. If you fancy a pampering day in I'd suggest this stuff! Its thick and creamy with pretty nice results.

I really hope you enjoy this read!!

Make Up Revolution - Golden Sugar Review

I can't live without blush and if I did i'd look like a ghost! Those of you who haven't yet tried Make Up Revolution...please do, this palette is a good place to start! The brand it's self is incredibly affordable and yet some of the best quality product I have ever used. This time around I'm reviewing the Golden Sugar Blush palette and I honestly fell in love with it before even using it.

If you are looking for a golden goddess look, search no more!

It's gorgeous to look at, the colours in this palette are immensely lush! The 6 shades are each incredibly pigmented which you don't often find in bargain makeup - the quality is that of something a lot more pricey.

What I really love about this palette is the combination of bronzer, highlighter and blush - great for those that are always on the move as its' all in one and ready to go or if you are looking for a diverse set of shades this is it!

Shade breakdown: (See below for HD pictures)
1 - A nice silky highlight, great for brightening up the cheeks for a dewy glow.
2 - Shimmery sugary pink which creates a nice touch of colour on the cheek, a little goes a long way!
3 - Similar to the second shade but not as shimmery nice for a slightly toned down look
4- Slightly orange in colour good use as a contour but may not work on paler skin tones, has a nice warm feel to the shade.
5 - A nice light satin finish great use as a contour or bronzer
6 - Beautiful shimmer to the shade really gives my cheeks a dewy sense of colour
7 - Has a coppery bronze finish nice as a bronzer has a slight hint of orange to it
8 - A matte shade good for contouring it's slightly dark for me so no need to use too much but very diverse.

Overall I am a huge fan of this brand it's affordable so if you are on a budget there is no need to miss out on quality and it's also very current, a easy to use palette with shades that help you create the latest looks.

I hope this post has been helpful and pretty to look at! If you haven't already, don't forget to follow my blog so you don't miss out!

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub Review

Glycolic and Salicylic acid ingredients in skin care have become more and more popular due to their cleansing and renewing properties. I remember starting out using the Alpha H liquid gold and thinking wow, amazing.

Nip + Fab have a great and vast Glycolic range and I thought I'd give the scrub a try. I do love a good face scrub as my skin can look dull at times. This scrub contains 3% Glycolic and Salicylic acids to help brighten and renew and after using this product for 3 weeks I have noticed that my skin feels that little bit more refined. This products claims to work deep into pores to polish and reduce blemishes. Now, I am a sufferer of blemishes and they are constant. I am forever looking for a product to aid in the reduction of those nasty blemishes that can make me feel so self conscious.

Using this product has given my skin a new lease of life, my skin feels more brighter and really aids me with the application of my make up as my skin doesn't feel so uneven after using it. What's great is the consistency of the product as it doesn't feel too course on the skin as some scrubs I have previously used really feel as if they are too rough. I would almost say it has the qualities of a at home microdermabrasion treatment.....What's even better is its citrus smell, Yum! I'll let you into a little secret, you can use it on dry elbows and knees for a quick fix!

I use this twice a week but that can be reduced to just once or up to three times. I wouldn't recommend any more as you can damage your skin and not see any results.

Let me know what you think!
Talk soon x

Loreal Elvive: Re Balancing Shampoo

Happy Sunday readers!

Today's post is on Loreal's new Extraordinary Clay range. Now, I'm the kind of girl that is constantly trying out new ranges when it comes to haircare and although finding some decent ranges this one appealed to me. I was standing in boots and thought 'oh pretty colour' - I'm a sucker for packaging but in all seriousness what this range has to offer is even more important. The ends of my hair eventually just dry out no matter what I do to treat them, something I've accepted but reading about the clay shampoo and conditioner there was a gleam of hope! I also have the issue with oily roots, I have to wash my hair everyday (I know, terrible) Hence why my hair probably gets so dry.

Extraordinary clay claims to combat each of those headaches! Taken from the loreal website this is what you are expected to see ...
• Scalp feels deeply purified for 72 hours with freshness and light, lifted roots.

• Dry hair feels hydrated right to the ends for fluid, free-flowing lengths.
• Revitalises the hair with softness, shine and bounce.

The images below were before and after washing, as you can see my morning hair is brittle looking and dry. This was after about a week and a half of using the range and treatments.

BTW...I have only edited my face...My skin was badddd! But the hair hasn't been touched up.

After just the first use my hair actually felt seriously clean leaving a lovely scent (that my fiancĂ© kept complementing me on :) - so that was already a great start!) As I was using the conditioner I genuinely felt my hair becoming soft, I'm not even exaggerating! But the real test was coming out of my vicious OCD washing regime, did I go a day? Yes! I actually did, I went to work without washing my hair and it felt and looked clean - for me that was a challenge in its self. Not only did my hair feel clean it was manageable and sleek.

If you are struggling with finding something that is suited to your advanced hair needs I would suggest giving this range a go.

Let me know how you get on!

The Next Beauty Blogger Event

What a privilege to be a part of, the Next beauty event was the place to be on a cold Wednesday evening!

It was the first event I have attended and it was a joy, not only was it filled with pretty things but also filled with extremely pretty people. Being able to attend such a special event made me realise how much I actually had a love for writing about all things beautiful. The location was at Ice Tank London and it was pleasure on the eyes.

I photographed some of the lovely products that Next have to offer and they were at affordable prices too.  This was not about another big brand jumping on the beauty product bandwagon but each product seemed thought about and current. With Next's 'Make Me Beautiful' range its all a girl could want.

With blushers ranging from £8 that really shows how affordable their products are in comparison to similar products in this very expensive beauty world. You can even pick up 4 nail polishes for just £10!!! Amazing.

The sleek packing really appealed to me - It's simple, nothing over the top just modern and poignant. So what about quality? well this was backed by the amazing Lydia Millen who displayed 2 live tutorials starting with a every day neutral glowing look to a gorgeous red lipped night time glam look.

Lips - The lip sticks were well pigmented and appeared creamy in texture, fantastic quality especially for the price. Not a bad range of colours either.

Eyes - The eye pallets were well pigmented, each teamed with complimenting shades and appeared very easy to blend. You can create many looks without having to pay out a shed load and you don't have to be a professional to use them! The Brow pallets are very current as we all know that brows are so now! Luckily having matte shades allow for the natural look and a great selection to match many tones.

I could talk all night at how much of a fantastic experience it was, although not a well known blogger I felt important and seeing these great products in the flesh makes me want them all, temptation definately kicked in! I didn't get to pick up a goodie bag but they were filled with some of the gorgeous range and to be fair I wouldn't mind buying them.

I would suggest having a sneaky peak at Next's site, not only great to treat yourself but fantastic gift ideas.....I won't tell :)

Madam Glam

Happy Sunday readers!

Todays post is an exciting one for me because its a Madam Glam review. I was sent over some gorgeous nail varnishes from the team and after testing and wearing them everyday I can finally share my thoughts. Now, I wont lie to you I am not exactly a dab hand at doing my nails and I am wayyyyy envious at the nail art I see being shared and I am filled with pure envy and jealousy.

Madam Glam pride themselves on being a cruelty free company where their products are not tested on animals and that is a big tick in my book, a company with integrity gains nothing but respect from me. They promote a '5-free' value (Taken from the Madam Glam website): '5-Free : All our nail polishes are made without five of the sketchiest
Ingredients linked to toxicity. That means they're free of formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and toluene - plus formaldehyde resin and camphor, too. So safer and more healthy for your nails...and for YOU!!'
....pretty impressive stuff I say!

As I mentioned I am no Picasso but when applying the varnish it applied with such ease which resulted in a beautiful even finish, I felt like a pro! The finish of the varnish is gorgeous and there were no lump and bump moments (I'm sure you know what I mean) not only do I love their colour selection - to which there are so many it's so hard to choose without buying them all but I also love the durability. I wore the varnish at home and work (My job can be very handsy lol) I had great wear out of them and was not left with embarrassing chipped nails.

Dusty Navy is a stunning blue, it's a very bold yet feminine in your face colour. This will look great matched with a little black dress.

For A Lady is one of my favourite colours just because its a smoky purple you absolutely feel like a lady wearing it. It has a very creamy finish to the colour it looked great against my pale skin.

Perfectly Natural is fab if you are not into bright colours and want a slight hint of nude, great for those workaholics who aren't meant to wear nail polish at work! ;)

Cinderella shoes, wow what a great varnish. if you're a glitter loving girl this is the one for you. You can really build it up to create a glitter fest!

So to conclude this post I would simply say this...
..... Some of the best varnishes I have ever used!
I'm not saying that because I was sent them to review but simply because they are amazing, my Mum has even stolen one and she's fussy (probably where I get that trait from) Thess are not only affordable but durable and pretty. Thank you Madam Glam for being not only a brand with integrity but giving us people something to rave about! Video coming soon :) x

Mr Versace: The dressing gown edit

Yes, yet another deluxe designer review this week. I treated the other half to a Versace gown and thought I would share it's beauty.

The renowned Versace detail draws the eye to this piece - like all Versace products of course. I went for the black robe as it allows the gold detailing to stand out adding a touch of class to the person tucked inside.

The bathrobe is 100% cotton and has a really good weight to it making it feel that little bit more luxurious. The pockets are of a great size making it a good lazy day robe too (making the most out of it's cost!) Yes, it does cost £265 and that blew my socks off too! This is the kind of robe that makes a statement however. To be fair ladies you can pull this off too as even the website models a woman and it looks bloody great.

The only bad point is that it is very good at collecting hairs, for those that have pets anyway which can be a tad of a headache but nothing a roller or cello tape can't fix!

If you're looking for something that stands out from the crowd this may be it - you expect something a little special when buying Versace and this definitely has that.

It's in the details:
It's 100% Cotton and made in Italy
It has a detachable belt
Great size pockets with the lovely Barocco print.
Its also available in blue, white and red - visit here

Guys please don't forget to follow this blog, it would mean so much!

Louis Vuitton Tote review & Pictures

Hello readers! This has been such an exciting post to write.

Firstly I want to state that I'm nowhere near the richest person in the world so heres a little background story. Getting a Louis bag was only but a dream - I'm blessed to have such an amazing fiancĂ© who took me to the West End Louis Vuitton shop to 'look around' and surprised me by buying me the fantastic tote above. I literally asked him a hundred times if he was sure... there was no changing his mind. I don't think I have stopped staring at it and I am eternally grateful.

I can only hope the pictures I have taken do it justice - the craftsmanship is incredible and it deserves to be centre of attention. The bag features the iconic Monogram print which I think holds eternal beauty and recognition. The style I chose was the Neverfull MM with a deep sexy red internal lining. The red really shows of the dark leather and being an Arsenal fan red was a must (Lol)

The bag contains a small clutch which can be unattached from the inside (see images below) this makes the bag incredibly useful, the bag is quite large so having that little clutch really makes it versatile.

This bag looks great if you're dressed up or dressed down - I even teamed it up with some running shoes and it didn't looked as ridiculous as it sounds.

Its in the details...

Cost: £710.00 Yes very pricy but beautiful
Size: 12.6 x 11.4 x 6.7 inches (big enough to fit my cat in....LOL, possibly two)

This is a bag I will appreciate forever not only because of its eternal iconic look but its expensive and luxurious feel.

...Still it wont stop be from getting a few new bags from River Island from time to time. You can give a girl a classy bag but she'll still go to the high street - I will anyway.

Enjoy the images.
