Madam Glam

Happy Sunday readers!

Todays post is an exciting one for me because its a Madam Glam review. I was sent over some gorgeous nail varnishes from the team and after testing and wearing them everyday I can finally share my thoughts. Now, I wont lie to you I am not exactly a dab hand at doing my nails and I am wayyyyy envious at the nail art I see being shared and I am filled with pure envy and jealousy.

Madam Glam pride themselves on being a cruelty free company where their products are not tested on animals and that is a big tick in my book, a company with integrity gains nothing but respect from me. They promote a '5-free' value (Taken from the Madam Glam website): '5-Free : All our nail polishes are made without five of the sketchiest
Ingredients linked to toxicity. That means they're free of formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and toluene - plus formaldehyde resin and camphor, too. So safer and more healthy for your nails...and for YOU!!'
....pretty impressive stuff I say!

As I mentioned I am no Picasso but when applying the varnish it applied with such ease which resulted in a beautiful even finish, I felt like a pro! The finish of the varnish is gorgeous and there were no lump and bump moments (I'm sure you know what I mean) not only do I love their colour selection - to which there are so many it's so hard to choose without buying them all but I also love the durability. I wore the varnish at home and work (My job can be very handsy lol) I had great wear out of them and was not left with embarrassing chipped nails.

Dusty Navy is a stunning blue, it's a very bold yet feminine in your face colour. This will look great matched with a little black dress.

For A Lady is one of my favourite colours just because its a smoky purple you absolutely feel like a lady wearing it. It has a very creamy finish to the colour it looked great against my pale skin.

Perfectly Natural is fab if you are not into bright colours and want a slight hint of nude, great for those workaholics who aren't meant to wear nail polish at work! ;)

Cinderella shoes, wow what a great varnish. if you're a glitter loving girl this is the one for you. You can really build it up to create a glitter fest!

So to conclude this post I would simply say this...
..... Some of the best varnishes I have ever used!
I'm not saying that because I was sent them to review but simply because they are amazing, my Mum has even stolen one and she's fussy (probably where I get that trait from) Thess are not only affordable but durable and pretty. Thank you Madam Glam for being not only a brand with integrity but giving us people something to rave about! Video coming soon :) x

Mr Versace: The dressing gown edit

Yes, yet another deluxe designer review this week. I treated the other half to a Versace gown and thought I would share it's beauty.

The renowned Versace detail draws the eye to this piece - like all Versace products of course. I went for the black robe as it allows the gold detailing to stand out adding a touch of class to the person tucked inside.

The bathrobe is 100% cotton and has a really good weight to it making it feel that little bit more luxurious. The pockets are of a great size making it a good lazy day robe too (making the most out of it's cost!) Yes, it does cost £265 and that blew my socks off too! This is the kind of robe that makes a statement however. To be fair ladies you can pull this off too as even the website models a woman and it looks bloody great.

The only bad point is that it is very good at collecting hairs, for those that have pets anyway which can be a tad of a headache but nothing a roller or cello tape can't fix!

If you're looking for something that stands out from the crowd this may be it - you expect something a little special when buying Versace and this definitely has that.

It's in the details:
It's 100% Cotton and made in Italy
It has a detachable belt
Great size pockets with the lovely Barocco print.
Its also available in blue, white and red - visit here

Guys please don't forget to follow this blog, it would mean so much!

Louis Vuitton Tote review & Pictures

Hello readers! This has been such an exciting post to write.

Firstly I want to state that I'm nowhere near the richest person in the world so heres a little background story. Getting a Louis bag was only but a dream - I'm blessed to have such an amazing fiancé who took me to the West End Louis Vuitton shop to 'look around' and surprised me by buying me the fantastic tote above. I literally asked him a hundred times if he was sure... there was no changing his mind. I don't think I have stopped staring at it and I am eternally grateful.

I can only hope the pictures I have taken do it justice - the craftsmanship is incredible and it deserves to be centre of attention. The bag features the iconic Monogram print which I think holds eternal beauty and recognition. The style I chose was the Neverfull MM with a deep sexy red internal lining. The red really shows of the dark leather and being an Arsenal fan red was a must (Lol)

The bag contains a small clutch which can be unattached from the inside (see images below) this makes the bag incredibly useful, the bag is quite large so having that little clutch really makes it versatile.

This bag looks great if you're dressed up or dressed down - I even teamed it up with some running shoes and it didn't looked as ridiculous as it sounds.

Its in the details...

Cost: £710.00 Yes very pricy but beautiful
Size: 12.6 x 11.4 x 6.7 inches (big enough to fit my cat in....LOL, possibly two)

This is a bag I will appreciate forever not only because of its eternal iconic look but its expensive and luxurious feel.

...Still it wont stop be from getting a few new bags from River Island from time to time. You can give a girl a classy bag but she'll still go to the high street - I will anyway.

Enjoy the images.

Running Girl

I'd be that kind of  girl that never wore trainers, nothing against them just felt they didn't represent my style. As the years past running trainers have somewhat delivered something other than it's intended purpose - to be worn for fashion and not always for a run in the park or by the Thames!

Below are some great styles from Nike, which I received for my big 25th as a prezzie! I'm a football match attender, life long Gooner and heels and flats weren't always fitting for those kind of days. I'm also that kind of girl that likes to meet with her mates for a casual coffee and I didn't always want to be dressy. After not ever wearing trainers I'm now an avid fan thanks to the beautiful styles.

Both styles can be picked up at ASOS.

Black and white is the Polka Dot Roshe and the grey is the Internationalist style, both unbelievably comfortable! so dreamy enjoy the pictures...

"To Those Who Said I Can't Do It, Well, Watch Me"!

Hello everyone!
I am not sure whether any of you read my blog, A Sprinkle Of Emily, where I post hauls, beauty tips and just general chat posts every Wednesday and Sunday at 6pm GMT. Once you have finished reading this post make sure to head on over to my blog (click here). I just want to thank the lovely Kerry for letting me post on her blog:)
Today I am going to be talking about confidence and products that have helped me boost my confidence. I don't know about you but I have definitely had those days when I have felt really self conscious, in fact, I am having one of those days today.

I often get asked "Why do you wear so much makeup?" and every time my answer is the same, because it helps me feel confident. People have different tricks to make them feel confident and mine is simply, wearing makeup. I often envy all of those girls that are 'naturally' confident, and I ask myself why can't I be like that?
I know that no one is perfect, even if I often call models in magazines perfect. I also know that I am not perfect, even if I often wish I was, no one is perfect. In our society today, even the skinniest prettiest person still isn't 'good enough'.
And remember...
Be nice to yourself. That may seem a little bit obvious but a lot of girls are really hard on themselves, just chill out and compliment yourself because YOU are great!
Don't compare. I have done this far too much where I have thought "If I looked like..." or "She has better... than me". Stay focused on you as everyone is different.
I also just wanted to say that you are all beautiful people. You shouldn't feel you have to change your appearance to please others, you are awesome as you are:)
I really hoped that you liked this post because I will start doing similar posts on my blog, I know it was a little rambly but I felt I had a lot to say. Make sure to leave a nice comment and I look forward to seeing a lot of you over on my blog.
See you soon,
Emily xo

St Tropez gradual in shower tan

What? A in shower tan!? ...That's how I reacted. I am as pale as a ghost, if not paler - in fact I'd probably scare a ghost I'm that translucent! I have been a fake tanner on and off for more than 5 years. Although you'd think I would have plenty of practise, fake tan would never look natural on me. I'm a girl on the go, there's always places for me to be - nothing exciting just a full time job and seeing friends from time to time but tanning isn't always easy to fit in, especially after getting in from work and just wanting to eat and sleep! The St Tropez in shower tan appealed to me because of its simplicity so I thought id give it a go...

The idea that something that has been driving me bonkers for years can actually be done in 3 minutes was magic to me, almost to good to be true? When applying the cream it went on very easily and felt as if it was moisturising my skin right away. The tanner contains sweet almond oil that is said to help moisturise your skin for up to 24 hours and I must admit my skin is feeling a lot smoother. The idea is to cleanse in the shower as normal, apply the tanner and wash off 3 minutes later - as simple as that! I have used the tan twice and I have seen positive results. My skin actually appears to have a natural glow about it and for once I don't have dark orange patches.

My upmost favourite part of the tanner is that its so different in terms of the body cream, there's none of that sticky residue left after application and that's not something you want to face in this hot weather!

I did notice a slight smell during the night and the smell slightly developed a little while later but its not heavy and nowhere near as strong as some usual self tan characteristics.

There have been mixed reviews on this product, but for me I have had nothing but good times with it. It hasn't built up around my nails nor on my dry skin areas. Its easy, new and I'm tanned without looking like an idot!

At the moment you can pick up 200ml for £9.67 (On offer at boots)
